🌟 Welcoming Ross Macfadyen – Our New Chief Executive
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Ross Macfadyen as Seescape’s new Chief Executive.
Ross joins Seescape from the Dog Aid Society of Scotland, where he also served as CEO. He brings a wealth of experience from the third sector, having held senior director roles with RNIB Scotland and Leonard Cheshire Disability.
Before moving into the charity world, Ross built a successful career in broadcasting — including roles as a director and presenter with Radio Clyde, and time with Real Radio and BBC Radio Scotland.
Ross joins Seescape at a pivotal moment, following our historic 160th anniversary celebrations last year. Speaking about his new role, he said:
“It is a privilege to join Seescape and I am inspired by its rich history and vital mission. Having worked in the sight loss sector previously with RNIB, I know how transformative the right support can be.”
“Following the significant milestone of the 160th anniversary last year, I look forward to working with the staff, volunteers, and partners to build on this legacy. I am committed to ensuring that Seescape remains at the forefront of providing innovative and compassionate support to everyone in Fife who needs us.”
Seescape’s Chair, Bill Buchan, welcomed Ross warmly:
“We are delighted to welcome Ross to Seescape. He brings a wealth of experience from both the charity and media sectors, and his passion for our cause is evident.”
“We know the charity will be in the safest of hands under his leadership as we look ahead to the next chapter of our history.”
Ross’s leadership marks an exciting new chapter for Seescape, and we are thrilled to have him at the helm.
🌟 Welcoming Ailsa Alcock – Fundraising Manager
We are also pleased to welcome Ailsa Alcock, who joined Seescape on 16 January 2026 as our new Fundraising Manager.
Ailsa has already hit the ground running — reviewing and submitting funding bids and quickly becoming an integral part of the team! She brings fresh energy, strong insight, and a wealth of third sector experience to the role, strengthening our fundraising capacity at an important time for the organisation.
We’re delighted to have her on the team and look forward to the impact her expertise will bring.
