Volunteers are at the heart of what we do. Our Volunteer Befrienders provide vital support to tackle isolation and loneliness amongst people affected by sight impairment in Fife.
We are looking to recruit more Volunteer Befrienders in your local area, to match those referred for this vital service.
seescape’s Volunteer Befrienders provide much needed social contact, company and encouragement to individuals through regular agreed visits at home or out in the community, for up to 12 months. This service helps clients to work towards personal goals, such as increased confidence, learning something new, or to reconnect with a hobby or interest.
Volunteers will be offered training and support as well as an opportunity to learn new skills (e.g. sighted guide training, first aid, etc).
The ability to travel independently is important and access to a car is an advantage.
