Sight Support Intern – Join Seescape
Seescape is delighted to offer an exciting Sight Support Internship as part of the Get Set Progress (GSP) Programme, delivered in partnership with Thomas Pocklington Trust (TPT) and RNIB. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is blind or partially sighted to gain meaningful, hands-on experience within a supportive, inclusive charity environment.
About the Role
- Job title: Sight Support Intern
- Location: Glenrothes (office-based with some flexibility)
- Salary: Real Living Wage
- Contract: Fixed term, 9 months
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm
- Reporting to: Sight Support Team Leader
This internship offers the chance to build skills, confidence, and experience across multiple departments while making a genuine difference to people living with sight loss in Fife.

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Sight Support Intern, you will gain varied, practical experience, including:
- Supporting clients with independent living skills alongside our Rehabilitation team
- Assisting with grant applications for individuals
- Helping with reception and administrative tasks
- Supporting client enquiries and service delivery
- Taking part in client assessments and care planning
- Maintaining accurate records and case notes
- Supporting the use of assistive aids and technologies
- Contributing to risk assessments and safe working practices
This is a dynamic, hands-on role where no two days are the same.
Who Can Apply
This role includes a Genuine Occupational Requirement that applicants must be blind or partially sighted, in line with the Equality Act 2010.
You’ll also need to:
- Have the right to work in the UK
- Be able to travel to London for GSP development events (costs covered)
- Not have previously completed a Get Set Progress internship

We’re looking for someone who is motivated, positive, and ready to learn. You don’t need extensive experience – just the right attitude.

- Basic IT skills
