The AT Social Hub is back for our final instalment of 2020!

Thank you to all those who were able to attend our last session which focused on the ever-evolving world of Smart Home technology. For anyone who missed this, please find the recorded content via the link below.

The AT Social Hub – ‘Build Your Own Smart Home!’ – YouTube

2020 has certainly been a year that we won’t be forgetting in a hurry. We have faced lock downs, tier restrictions, social distancing, a toilet paper drought and a partridge in a pear tree! However, despite all of this, the AT Social Hub has continued to thrive and has provided resilience in the face of adversity! (A slightly dramatic opening but I’m glad I’ve caught your attention!)

Are you looking for last minute Christmas gifts? Then look no further. For our final session of the year, Sam and the ‘2 Stuart’s’ will be exploring accessible gifts for you to share with your friends and family this Christmas. Our accessible Christmas gift guide will provide you with a range of fun and useful products, making them the perfect stocking filler or main gift for your loved one. Whether you are looking for an easy-to-read pack of playing cards or a fun sensory item, we have compiled a list of some of our favourite Christmas gift ideas.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Christmas jumpers (or socks) are mandatory for this event!
This session is also suited to teachers, parents and others who support users and who wish to improve their understanding of JAWS. Please do come armed with any questions, queries or quibbles that you would like to share with the other Social Hub members.

“For most people, technology makes things easier. For those with a disability, it makes things possible!”

Now more than ever assistive technology is invaluable to those with sight loss, visual impairment or learning disability. We have a solution that could be hugely beneficial to you or a family member so please do come and join other AT users as we share our experiences and support each other along the way.

Stay safe.
